5. How much time does it take you to refill my inkjet cartridge?

6. How many times can a cartridge be refilled?
Although the amount of times a cartridge can be refilled varies from cartridge to cartridge, there are a couple of things that can be done to extend the life of your cartridge. As soon as you get a "low ink warning" or you notice any change in the quality of your print, stop printing immediately. Remove the cartridge from the printer, (Note: some printers, ie: Epson printers, tend to develop streaking and clogging quickly if the carriage is left with no cartridges in it. So consult the location nearest you to see if your printer requires a second set of cartridges prior to bringing in your set for refilling.) Store the cartridge in a zip-top bag with a moist (damp-not wet) piece of paper towel on the side of the cartridge, near but not on the print-head or ports. Use a plastic band on the outside of the bag to secure the paper tower in place ensuring the elastic does not run across the cartridge's copper circuitry. This will prevent the ink from drying in the print-head and keep the sponges from drying inside the cartridge. Using these methods, some cartridges can be refilled from 5 to 10 times.

7. I've tried recycled cartridges before and they didn't work. What has changed?
The standards by which cartridges are re-manufactured will vary from company to company. Eco Cartridge Store uses only the highest quality products on the market. Some of these products have less frequent defects than the manufacturer's original equipment. Our inks are compatible and meet or exceed the original manufacturer's specifications for viscosity, contrast and type - resulting in better print quality and more printings.

8. Are recycled cartridges environmentally sound?
In 1989, 40,000 tons of non-biodegradable plastics were thrown into our landfills. Every year since, that amount has grown even larger - in 2002 estimated at 78,000 tons. Every toner cartridge contains oil and is made up of approximately four pounds of non-biodegradable parts that will pollute the environment forever. Every time you use a recycled toner cartridge, you help to reduce the amount of plastic thrown into our landfills.

9. How should I care for and store my cartridge when not in use?
Place in a sealed zip-lock bag with a moist towel (paper towel dampened with water). Do not cover print head with moist towel as this can cause mixing of the colors. Try not running you cartridge completely dry - this is not good for your printer or the cartridge.

10. Does Eco Cartridge Store have any cartridges ready to go?
Yes, but supplies may vary. We do try to supply all the major types of compatible and re-manufactured cartridges.

11. Can I have my cartridge refilled with any refill ink?
Not all cartridges use the same kind of ink. In fact, most OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturer's) use a multiple ink-type product line. Here at Eco Cartridge Store, we work with over 100 different ink-types, and we analyze and test new ones as they come to market. Many companies who sell refill kits will tell you that one ink fits all, but an incorrect ink-type can damage or destroy your cartridge.

12. How much money will I save by refilling?
On average, refilling will save you up 40% or more off the price of a new cartridge.

13. Do you guarantee your product?
All our products and services are 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED. If you are unsatisfied for any reason, we will act quickly to ensure your satisfaction.
